🔧 How It Works
Wheel offset is the distance from the wheel's mounting surface to its centerline, measured in millimeters. Positive offset pushes the wheel inward toward the suspension; negative offset pushes it outward. Backspacing is the distance from the mounting surface to the inner lip, measured in inches. This calculator compares your stock wheel to a new wheel and shows exactly how much inner clearance you gain or lose.
How to use: Enter your stock wheel width and offset, then your new wheel specs. If you know backspacing, enter it — otherwise the calculator derives it. Click Calculate to see inner clearance, outer position, backspacing change, and scrub radius shift.
Tip: Inner clearance under 0.3" may cause suspension contact. Outer position over 1.5" may rub fenders. Scrub radius changes over 0.5" can affect steering feel and torque steer.
